Yummy. Local. Pizza.

This weekend, my family and I checked out a relatively new local pizzeria: Anthony’s, located on 4th Street and Howard Avenue near the Altoona Hospital. I don’t have a whole lot to say except: excellent pizza and delicious stromboli. We were truly impressed by the taste of the food. The staff was friendly, too. The whole family dug in and enjoyed.

Many of you probably know I like supporting local businesses, and pizza is definitely a favorite pastime.  Only a mile from my home base in Fairview, Anthony’s is a good choice.

Well there certainly are some decent pizza choices in Altoona, IMO. Glad to know there’s another good one!

We had stromboli for dinner there a while back and it was EXCELLENT! And BIG, so big the two of us split one. We’ll definitely stop there again. Yes, the staff was very friendly, the cook even checked to make sure we got our stromboli the way we wanted it.

I haven’t been to Anthony’s at it’s new location, but I have heard nothing but good things about it. The owner had a restaurant in another area of town and before that operated a restaurant in East Freedom, and I can say the food at those places was always awesome too!
