I think this situation really caught the public off guard. We need to be vigilant about our own liberties. But I also am wondering -- how are we losing the battle for the hearts and minds of some of our own citizens? Or are we even willing to admit there is a battle? Terrorism is not just a philosophy, it's a METHOD. What's the philosophy behind it? That's a key question. The U.S. can't be all things to all people... we have to have SOME roots or basic beliefs we agree on as a society in order to function. There’s a lot to think about here, Jeff.
